Job summary

Calderdale Council is seeking an Engineering Team Manager for the Highways Asset Management team in Calderdale. You will provide high-level expert advice, lead the team, and ensure compliance with national codes while planning maintenance and forward funding of highways assets.

You will manage asset data, communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, and drive collaborative working across multi-agency partners to deliver statutory and corporate objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Highway asset management and network management.
• Strong communication skills with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Highways Asset Management team.
• Ensure compliance with Well-managed Highway Infrastructure: A Code of Practice (2016).
• Maintain asset data and manage the Council's asset management system.
• Oversee budgeting, planning, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
