Job summary

Calderdale Council is seeking an Engineering Team Manager to lead the Highways Asset Management team in Calderdale, West Yorkshire. The role focuses on providing high-level expert advice, leading the team, and ensuring compliance with Well-managed Highway Infrastructure: A Code of Practice (2016).

You will oversee data for adopted highway assets and interact with diverse stakeholders. The post requires a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, with strong communication skills, budgeting

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Highway asset management.
• Experience with budget monitoring and collaborative working.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Highways Asset Management team.
• Provide high level expert advice to the Highways team.
• Ensure statutory and corporate objectives are delivered.
• Maintain data for adopted Highway assets and asset management system.
• Communicate with multi-agency partners, Councillors, MPs and stakeholders.
