Job summary

Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an Engineering Team Manager to lead the Highways Asset Management function in Calderdale. You will provide high level expert advice, direct the team and ensure delivery against Well-managed Highway Infrastructure: A Code of Practice (2016).

You will maintain asset condition data, manage the asset management system and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with stakeholders at multiple levels (councillors, MPs, partners)
• Experience in highway asset management and day-to-day network management
• Ability to monitor budgets and lead a team effectively

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and manage the Highways Asset Management team
• Provide high level expert advice and ensure compliance with Well-managed Highway Infrastructure: A Code of Practice (2016)
• Maintain and improve data for adopted Highway assets and the asset management system
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to support strategic road network objectives
