Job summary

HCA UK is seeking a Quality and Risk Manager for The Harborne Hospital in Birmingham. The role is full-time, on-site, and focuses on governance, incident and risk management, and complaint investigations to meet external standards.

The ideal candidate will have governance experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive change across clinical operations. The position offers career development within a large, multisite private healthcare group.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of developing and embedding governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of CQC inspection and other healthcare accreditation frameworks.
• Experience in governance, incident & risk management and quality improvement.
• Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, and MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and implement incident management processes and PSIRF principles.
• Create and present reports to hospital committees with trend analysis.
• Manage the Audit Programme with robust action plans for care improvements.
• Coordinate with HoD and Corporate Clinical Services to standardise CQC compliance.
• Act as Policy Controller and direct policy reviewer as needed.
• Oversee risk management processes and regular reviews of risk registers.
