Job summary

AWE is seeking an experienced Head of Technical Training and Skills to shape and deliver the organisation's training and capability strategy. You will align technical training with the Strategic workforce plan and oversee digital learning and compliance to ensure safe, effective operation.

Leading a team of learning professionals, you will engage senior stakeholders, translate workforce plans into capability requirements, and drive high-performance learning across the business at Reading.

Qualifications

• Strategic thinking and ability to develop long-term training strategies.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence senior leaders.
• Leadership and people management experience with coaching and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technical Training and Skills strategy aligned to business objectives and future workforce needs.
• Develop governance and reporting on training delivery within learning frameworks.
• Oversee digital learning, licence condition compliance and evidence of competence.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to identify skills gaps and shape development priorities.
• Build relationships with regulatory bodies and training providers to ensure alignment.
