Waverley Borough Council is seeking a strategic leader to head Housing Assets and Compliance across both Waverley and Guildford Borough Councils. The role focuses on robust asset management for council homes, driving service transformation and operational excellence during a period of change.

The postholder will lead the newly established Housing Leadership Team, shaping investment planning and asset strategies while collaborating with Members, residents and contractors.

Qualifikationen

• Extensive experience of leading housing, property, asset management or compliance services at a senior level.
• Experience managing budgets, contracts and commissioning arrangements.
• Knowledge of housing regulation, compliance and building safety responsibilities.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A track record of delivering service improvement and managing change within a complex organisation.

Aufgaben

• Leading housing asset management and compliance services.
• Managing significant budgets, contracts and Housing Revenue Account-funded investment programmes.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory and building safety requirements.
• Leading up to six managers of multidisciplinary teams.
• Driving continuous improvement and organisational change.
• Supporting long-term investment planning and asset strategies.
