Job summary

NHS England is seeking a Head of Financial Reporting to lead the South Finance team's reporting and analysis function. You will oversee regional financial reporting, develop best practice and provide insightful analysis to support timely interventions by directors and stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will be CCAB or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with up-to-date membership and a track record of financial reporting in complex organisations.

Qualifications

• CCAB or CIMA qualified with up-to-date membership.
• Experience in financial reporting in a complex organisation.

Responsibilities

• Take lead responsibility for the timely and accurate reporting of financial information within the South East region and develop best practice in financial reporting.
• Develop financial reporting in the South East region to enable understanding of trends in financial performance and triangulating financial positions with other sources of assurance.
• Provide advice and prepare strategic reports and briefings for directors and stakeholders including in-depth analysis and complex reports.
• Be the subject matter expert in relation to national changes in reporting and disseminate best practice across the South East region.
