Job summary

Bradford Children and Families Trust is seeking a Governance, Risk & Insight Officer to strengthen oversight of governance, risk, and assurance across the organisation. You will maintain risk registers, produce reporting for senior leaders, and support information governance and customer care insights.

The role is hybrid with 2 days in the office and requires analytical thinking, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate across teams to drive continuous improvement in governance

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in corporate governance, risk, compliance, or related business support.
• Experience maintaining registers, logs, or action trackers.
• Good data handling and analytical skills with spreadsheets.
• Ability to analyse information and present it clearly.
• Strong organisational skills with competing priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication; handling confidential information.
• Ability to work across Governance, Risk, Information Governance and Customer Care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update strategic and operational risk registers.
• Support services to identify and mitigate risks per Risk Management Framework.
• Prepare risk reports and summaries for senior leaders and the Board.
• Track and coordinate audit, assurance and governance actions.
• Support governance monitoring including policy compliance and declarations of interest.
• Develop dashboards and insight reporting to support decision-making.
• Analyse data to identify trends and emerging risks.
• Collaborate across Governance, Risk, Information Governance and Customer Care.
• Promote continuous improvement in governance practices.
