Job summary

Scottish Government OGD Recruitment’s Education Scotland unit seeks a Governance Manager to strengthen corporate governance arrangements. Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to advise and influence colleagues at all levels.
• Experience supporting governance in a public sector or similar environment.
• Familiarity with governance standards and board/committee processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Governance in strengthening the organisation’s governance framework and alignment with public sector best practice.
• Coordinate governance support for Boards and Committees, including Secretariat tasks and minute preparation.
• Provide guidance to senior leaders and staff on governance standards and meeting protocols.
• Develop and deliver governance training and embed public sector duties across the Agency.
• Lead ongoing development of the Agency's impact assessment and decision-tracking processes.
