Job summary

NewMarket Corporation seeks a procurement professional to develop and manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and optimize price and supply conditions in line with planning and logistics.

You will leverage Power BI-based analytics for cost visibility, forecast prices, qualify new suppliers, monitor quality, and drive global sourcing initiatives in close collaboration with R&D, manufacturing and process technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage supplier relationships, negotiate price and supply terms, and implement contracts as appropriate.
• Maintain SAP pricing, material transfers and forecasting data aligned with Planning and Logistics.
• Understand raw material, product and service markets to anticipate availability and pricing changes.
• Support qualification of new suppliers, contract manufacturers and toll manufacturers, including site visits.
• Communicate long-term sourcing strategies to support the Long Range Plan and regional/global needs.
• Develop forecasts (volume and price) for suppliers and internal planning processes.
• Monitor quality and consistency of raw materials and services using the Spec Manager and VNCS.
• Collaborate with regional/global teams to maximize strategic purchasing and supply network optimization.
• Ensure business continuity through MoC tracking and governance via Accolade platform.
• Provide information on competitive challenges, pricing initiatives and quality/service issues with robust data analytics.
