Job summary

Emerald Group seeks a Department General Manager – Insurance Risk Management to lead the IRM function from London. In collaboration with the Senior DGM, you will shape the department's strategy, oversee risk assessments and reporting, and align insurance risk with the firm’s international business.

You will manage a team, coach performance, and foster strong relationships with leaders across the organisation and with European insurers and brokers.

Qualifications

• Degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field.
• Professional qualification in insurance such as ACII, CPCU or Cert CII.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy for the department in collaboration with the Senior DGM.
• Lead and manage team performance, including coaching and appraisals.
• Build relationships with leaders across the organisation and EU-CIS to promote IRM.
• Maintain relationships with European insurers and brokers to leverage partnerships.

Education

Degree qualified in business administration, accounting, finance or a related area

ACII, CPCU or Cert CII (professional insurance qualifications)
