Job summary

The Emerald Group is seeking an experienced risk professional to manage all aspects of risk across assigned clients in London. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring the team, reviewing reporting for governance forums, and supporting risk framework development with the Head of Risk.

The role requires identifying, documenting and rating risks, knowledge of underwriting risk, Solvency II and regulatory requirements, and a solid understanding of the insurance market and Lloyd's syndicate

Qualifications

• Experience in risk management within insurance or underwriting context.
• Ability to identify, document and rate risks across clients.
• Knowledge of Solvency II and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior team members to develop risk management knowledge.
• Review and own reporting to client and company governance forums.
• Support development and maintenance of allocated framework sections with Head of Risk.
• Identify, document and rate risks in allocated clients.
• Review work undertaken by direct reports.
• Leverage underwriting experience or understanding of underwriting risk.
• Apply strong understanding of the insurance market and Lloyd's syndicate activities.
• Apply knowledge of Solvency II and other regulatory requirements.
