Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join its Finance team in Leeds. You will support budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring, delivering robust analysis and insights to drive strategic decisions.

The role collaborates across regional teams to ensure accuracy and timely reporting. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in FP&A or business analysis, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP/BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of FP&A, commercial finance, or business analysis experience.
• Experience supporting commercial or sales teams is a plus.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling expertise.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong commercial and operational acumen with data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Support annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning for commercial functions.
• Build and maintain financial models adaptable to changes.
• Perform monthly performance reviews vs budget/forecast.
• Prepare management reporting packs with insights on performance.
• Collaborate with Financial Control and Commercial Finance teams on analysis.
• Analyze revenue, costs, margins, and KPIs.
• Create reports and dashboards to translate financial data into actions.
• Identify trends and drivers to improve reporting and decisions.
• Deep-dive into profitability, pricing, product mix, and efficiency.
• Champion automation and data transformation using Power BI and FP&A systems.
• Conduct scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and ROI assessments.
• Support strategic commercial plans with data-driven recommendations.
