Job summary

Traveltechessentialist is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst in London to support the Commercial Software function. You will partner with the Global CTO and leadership, turning financial data into insights that guide investments and performance.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong commercial thinking and stakeholder collaboration. You will own budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting for Commercial Software teams, building models and business cases to drive strategic

Qualifications

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
3+ years PQE in Finance, FP&A or business partnering.
Experience in Commercial Finance or related roles.
Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
Advanced Excel with complex formulas, lookups and pivots.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
Understanding of SaaS metrics and software cost models.
Experience supporting technology or SaaS teams is a plus.
Familiarity with BI/reporting tools and AI tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Global CTO and leadership to translate financial data into actionable insights.
Own budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for Commercial Software teams.
Deliver month-end reporting, variance analysis and commentary.
Monitor key software KPIs including headcount, cloud spend and project profitability.
Develop financial models, investment appraisals and business cases.
Support capex/opex classification and cost capitalisation activities.
Challenge cost and investment decisions to maximise value and returns.
Improve reporting processes, data quality and efficiency with BI tools.
Provide ad hoc financial analysis for initiatives, contracts and pricing decisions.
