Job summary

NHS Property Services seeks a Procurement Manager - Facilities Management to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, and commercial excellence across the NHS estate. You will influence procurement strategy, ensure compliance, and drive value in a national portfolio.

The role requires a proven track record in strategic sourcing, strong stakeholder engagement, and knowledge of PCR 2015 and related regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within a procurement function.
• Proven experience leading procurement projects and strategic sourcing activities.
• Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain best practice.
• Experience within FM procurement or a related category.
• Knowledge of Public Contracts Regulations (PCR 2015), Procurement Act 2023, and contract management principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic procurement activity across the FM category, delivering sourcing strategies, complex tendering exercises, commercial negotiations, and supplier management initiatives that drive value and support organisational objectives.
• Support the development and execution of Procurement Category Strategies.
• Act as a trusted procurement advisor, providing commercial guidance and market intelligence to stakeholders.
• Manage and develop supplier relationships, ensuring performance, compliance, and value delivery.
• Lead high-value and complex procurement projects from initiation through to implementation.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement programmes across the FM category.
• Manage procurement pipelines, contract databases, and procurement reporting.
• Support business case development through procurement data, analysis, and commercial insight.
• Resolve supplier performance issues and act as an escalation point for commercial matters.
• Mentor and support junior members of the Procurement team.
