Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Senior Fire Safety Advisor to provide leadership to Fire Safety Advisors and to foster a culture of fire safety awareness across NHS Fife and related regions. The role supports the Nominated Officer (Fire) in a director-level Strategic Fire Safety Group and offers specialist legislative and technical advice to senior management.

The post holder will lead locality Fire Safety Groups, develop and review fire safety procedures, coordinate training, manage Fire Risk

Qualifications

Experience in fire safety management and compliance.
Ability to provide legislative and technical fire safety guidance.
Proven track record in coordinating senior-level safety groups.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor the Fire Safety Advisors to promote a culture of fire safety awareness.
Support the Nominated Officer (Fire) in establishing and maintaining the Strategic Fire Safety Group.
Provide legislative and technical advice on Fire Safety (Scotland) Act 2005 and Regulations 2006 to senior management.
Develop and review Fire Emergency procedures (generic and site-specific).
Identify training needs and design, deliver and monitor fire safety training programs.
Oversee Fire Risk Assessments and implement Action Plans to address deficiencies.
Liaise with Scottish Fire & Rescue and other enforcement bodies as needed.
Represent NHS Scotland in external forums related to fire safety.
