ProGroup Recruitment invites an experienced Fire Consultancy leader to own and grow a specialist division focused on UK fire safety. You will lead high-performing Fire Risk Assessors and Consultants, drive governance and QA standards, and shape the future direction of the consultancy function across complex environments.

The role requires Chartered status or equivalent, BAFE SP205 familiarity, and strong commercial acumen with proven mentoring, recruitment, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within UK Fire Safety Consultancy.
• Experience managing Fire Risk Assessors, Consultants or technical teams.
• Advanced Fire Risk Assessment competence, ideally with Tier 3 or equivalent registration.
• Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, competence requirements and complex buildings.
• Experience implementing or managing technical QA and validation processes.
• Knowledge of FRAEWs, façade risk, retrospective fire strategies and wider Building Safety requirements.
• Proven ability to recruit, mentor and develop technical professionals.
• Strong commercial awareness, including budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop a team of employed Fire Risk Assessors and Consultants.
• Drive technical governance, peer review and quality assurance standards.
• Contribute to business growth through proposal development and client engagement.
• Ensure compliance with current fire safety legislation, guidance and competence frameworks.
• Manage specialist subcontractors and consultancy partners.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, utilisation and profitability targets.
• Mentor and develop technical professionals while maintaining a strong competence culture.
• Play a key role in shaping the future direction of the consultancy function.
