Job summary

Princes is seeking a Procurement Manager (Finished Goods) in Liverpool to lead sourcing strategies and category management across finished goods. You will drive savings, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliant procurement processes, collaborating with multiple internal teams and external partners within a busy commercial environment.

In this role, you will utilise SAP Ariba and ERP tools to deliver cost reductions, manage lifecycle spend, and develop supplier strategies to support

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of procurement processes and frameworks.
• Essential experience in a Category Management role.
• Excellent knowledge of category management, strategic sourcing, supplier development, and value chain mapping.
• Excellent working knowledge of spend categories.
• Understanding of contract principles and ability to interpret agreements.
• Experience with SAP analytics and reporting.
• Degree level qualification, ideally business related.
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Associate or student of CIPS, or working to CIPS qualification.
• Willingness to travel UK and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop category and sourcing plans with stakeholders.
• Utilise SAP Ariba to conduct sourcing activities and deliver cost savings.
• Drive partnership strategy for long-term growth and supply continuity.
• Negotiate to obtain the lowest total cost of ownership.
• Regularly review initiatives and report on cost reduction projects.
• Explain market conditions clearly to stakeholders.
• Use ERP to drive analytics and share reports with teams.
• Leverage tools like e-auctions, should-cost modelling and TCO.
• Develop supplier networks to unlock value.
• Manage spend lifecycle and supplier performance.
