Job summary

Princes Group in Liverpool is seeking a Procurement Manager (Finished Goods) to lead category strategies and optimise sourcing across the supply base.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, use SAP Ariba and ERP systems to drive cost savings, and ensure ethical, regulatory and sustainability standards are met.

Travel UK and overseas will be required as part of supplier relations and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of procurement processes and frameworks.
• Essential: Previous experience in a category management role.
• Essential: Category management, strategic sourcing, supplier development and value chain mapping.
• Essential: Understanding of spend across allocations.
• Essential: Understanding of contract principles and clauses.
• Essential: SAP analytics and reporting.
• Desired: Degree level qualification, preferably business.
• Desired: Strong MS Office knowledge.
• Essential: CIPS associate or student.
• Desired: Willingness to travel UK and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop category and sourcing plans with stakeholders.
• Utilise SAP Ariba to conduct sourcing activities and document savings.
• Drive partnership strategy for long-term growth and supply continuity.
• Negotiate to obtain the lowest total cost of ownership.
• Provide regular reporting on cost reduction initiatives.
• Communicate market conditions clearly to internal and external teams.
• Use ERP to drive analytics and reports for category plans.
• Maximise value delivery with e-auctions, TCO analyses.
• Develop supplier relationships to drive value.
• Mitigate risk across spend areas.
