Simplyhealth in the UK is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and robust controls. You’ll support month-end close and deliver reliable information to stakeholders across the organisation.

Leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI and Excel, you’ll drive reporting improvements, provide insightful variance analysis and contribute to board‑level reporting and statutory processes.

• Preparing accurate monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Supporting month-end close activities and ensuring financial information is delivered accurately and on time.
• Maintaining a strong financial control environment through robust reconciliations, analytical reviews and issue resolution.
• Producing insightful variance analysis and commentary against budget, forecast and prior year performance.
• Acting as the finance lead for payroll accounting and associated controls and reporting.
• Supporting claims provision calculations and Solvency UK reporting activities.
• Partnering with Finance and operational stakeholders to provide insight, challenge and support effective decision‑making.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and planning activities.
• Producing management information, reporting packs and Board-level reporting.
• Supporting year-end reporting, statutory accounts preparation and audit activities.
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, controls and data quality.
