Job summary

Clarify Consultancy Ltd is seeking a Financial/Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller in producing monthly management accounts and performance analytics. The role focuses on accurate reporting, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and cost centre analysis to drive efficiencies across the business.

You will oversee daily accounting operations, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns and liaise with auditors.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Studying towards CIMA/ACCA or QBE.
• Strong understanding of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Experience in retail/multi-site finance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support FC with cash flow forecasting, budgeting and cost centre analysis.
• Oversee daily accounting operations (sales/purchase ledgers, cashbook).
• Reconcile bank accounts, stock, and manufacturer accounts.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Analyse variances and provide insights to management.
• Liaise with auditors and external accountants.
• Maintain VAT returns.
• Ad hoc project work as required.
