Job summary

Cortus Advisory Group is seeking a highly motivated Transaction Services Executive to join our Financial Due Diligence (FDD) team in Leeds, with occasional travel to other UK offices and client sites.

You will support buy-side, sell-side and refinancing transactions, analyzing financial statements, evaluating EBITDA and forecasting assumptions, and contributing to due diligence reports for investors, corporates and entrepreneurs.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Strong financial analysis skills with UK GAAP/IFRS understanding.
• Experience in audit, corporate finance or financial analysis in professional services.
• Ability to explain complex financial issues clearly.
• Proficiency with Excel; comfortable handling large datasets.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements (income, balance sheet, cash flow) and working capital.
• Compile and analyze financial data, conduct client and sector research.
• Identify profitability trends, EBITDA, cash flow drivers, business performance.
• Evaluate forecasts, business plans, historical trading patterns.
• Support due diligence reports with key findings and risks.
• Prepare client-facing reports and present observations to managers/partners.
• Coordinate workstreams and contribute to timelines and proposals.
