Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants is working with a well-established East Kent business to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function across multiple sites and report to the Managing Director. Based in Broadstairs, you will modernise processes, implement robust reporting and provide commercial insight to support growth.

The role covers budgeting, cash flow, payroll, controls and liaising with auditors.

Qualifications

• Experience leading finance teams and managing multi-site operations.
• Strong reporting accuracy and commercial insight for growth.
• Experience modernising finance systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Review and modernise finance systems and processes to improve efficiency and controls.
• Lead development and implementation of improved financial processes for future growth.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations across multiple locations.
• Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Maintain and enhance financial controls, systems and procedures.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Ensure payroll is managed accurately and efficiently.
• Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Provide meaningful financial analysis and commercial insight.
• Support and mentor the finance team.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes.
