Job summary

RD Financial Recruitment in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function in Egham. You will report to the Directors and oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cashflow, and internal controls.

The role provides permanent, full-time responsibility across statutory accounts, audits, taxation and liaising with accountants and banks. A qualified accountant with strong leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• qualified accountant with a strong understanding of financial reporting and the wider finance function.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the confidence to work closely with Directors and senior stakeholders.
• Experience of managing or overseeing a finance team would be advantageous,
• Experience using Sage Line 50 and CIS is desirable

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts and monthly management accounts.
• Use Sage Line 50 as part of the day-to-day finance function.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts and monitor actual performance against budget.
• Analyse and report on variances.
• Manage cashflow and cashflow projections.
• Review reports produced by the finance team, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Support the financial health and profitability of the business through financial analysis and recommendations.
• Coordinate the annual audit and prepare supporting documentation.
• Oversee taxation and ensure all tax payments are made on time.
• Deal with HMRC queries.
