Fletcher George Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Financial Controller / Head of Finance for an office-based role in Egham, Surrey. You will own group financial reporting, oversee budgeting and forecasting, and provide commercial insights to owners and directors.

The role offers responsibility over statutory accounts, audits, tax and a small finance team within a privately owned multi-site group. Flexible hours and a comprehensive package are available.

Qualifications

• You will have experience as Financial Controller or Head of Finance at senior level.
• You will manage statutory reporting and monthly management accounts.
• You will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/ICAS/SAICA) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for Group financial reporting.
• Prepare annual statutory accounts and manage monthly close.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
• Provide variance analysis and commercial insight to directors.
• Monitor profitability and identify performance improvements.
• Strengthen financial processes, controls and policies.

Financial Controller / Head of Finance - Egham, Surrey

£70,000-£90,000 + Benefits Privately Owned Multi-Site Group Senior Finance Leadership

Fletcher George is recruiting an experienced Financial Controller / Head of Finance for a successful privately owned multi-site Group based in Egham, Surrey.

This opportunity could suit a Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller, Head of Finance, Finance Manager or Senior Finance Manager looking to take ownership of a broad finance function and work closely with the owners and directors.

You will oversee and be directly involved in management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and all financial reporting including year end statutory reporting and supervising a small finance team whilst providing commercial insight to support business decisions.

The Role

• Take overall responsibility for Group financial reporting.
• Annual statutory accounts.
• Prepare and oversee monthly management accounts
• Lead annual budgeting and then forecasting and cash flow planning.
• Review performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
• Provide commercial and financial insight to the directors.
• Monitor profitability and identify opportunities to improve performance.
• Strengthen financial processes, policies and controls.
• Manage and support the finance team.
• Coordinate the annual audit and liaise with external advisers.
• Oversee tax, financial and regulatory compliance.
• Support the directors with commercial and ad hoc projects.

About You

You will ideally:

• Have experience as a Financial Controller, Head of Finance, Finance Manager or equivalent level.
• Be confident across management accounts, statutory reporting and enjoy being involved in the actual doing rather than just overseeing the team.
• Have experience managing or supervising a finance team.
• Be commercially minded with strong communication skills.
• Be confident working autonomously and directly with business owners.

Ideally, you will be a Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS, SAICA or equivalent with a strong track record in a senior finance role.

This is an office-based role with flexibility around working hours, typically 8.00am-4.00pm or 9.00am-5.00pm.

Based in Egham, Surrey, the role is commutable from Staines-upon-Thames, Windsor, Virginia Water, Chertsey, Addlestone, Ascot, Sunningdale, Weybridge, Slough, Ashford, Shepperton, Heathrow and surrounding areas.
