Job summary

Chesterton House is seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller to shape the future of our growing business. You will lead the day-to-day finance function, deliver timely management information, strengthen controls and reporting, and partner with senior leaders to drive performance.

You’ll embed governance, budget and cashflow processes, coach colleagues and help shape strategic projects. Experience in financial services or regulated environments is advantageous; Power BI and BI reporting

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Leadership and management experience.
• Experience producing management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Strong financial controls and governance knowledge.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness and sound judgement.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day finance function.
• Produce accurate and timely management information.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and reporting processes.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management activities.
• Support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Develop and coach finance colleagues. Work closely with senior leaders to improve business performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiency.
