Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong experience overseeing management accounts, budgeting and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Solid understanding of UK accounting standards, IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Experience managing debt facilities and financial covenants.
• Ability to produce clear Board‑level reporting and analysis.
• Confident working with Directors, investors, lenders and other senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Group's day‑to‑day finance function.
• Lead, support and develop the in‑house finance team.
• Review draft monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts.
• Coordinate the monthly Board reporting process.
• Prepare clear financial reporting for Directors, Board members and investors.
• Develop KPI reporting and analysis to support informed decision‑making.
• Analyse monthly trading and cash‑flow performance against budget.
• Identify key movements, risks and areas requiring management attention.
• Maintain rolling 13‑week cash‑flow forecast and compare to actuals.
• Monitor debt facilities and covenants; forecast covenant performance and compliance.
• Manage annual budgeting and three‑year business plan.
• Review payroll, VAT and accounts‑preparation processes.
• Identify improvements to finance systems and processes.
• Liaise with tax advisers on corporation tax and compliance matters.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and statutory accounts submission.
