Job summary

Kara Healthcare is seeking a Financial Controller to partner with the CEO and senior leadership, providing financial insight, governance, and support to growth.

You will lead the finance function across multiple sites, producing monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, cash flow and ensuring robust controls.

This full-time, permanent role in Leicester offers £75,000-£90,000, occasional travel to services, and a chance to shape the finance function in a values‑driven healthcare group.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience as Financial Controller or senior finance leader.
• Proven track record in management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
• Strong controls, compliance, and risk management knowledge.
• Experience in multi-site healthcare or regulated sectors advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function and oversee day-to-day operations.
• Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Develop robust financial controls and governance.
• Ensure statutory and regulatory reporting compliance.
• Partner with operations to improve financial performance.
• Monitor performance and identify risks/opportunities.
