Job summary

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is seeking an experienced finance professional to join the finance team as Head of Finance Business Partnering. The role supports the Deputy Director of Finance in drafting the Finance plan for the Integrated Medium Term Plan and developing the Resource plan for HEIW, a national NHS Wales body.

The post is offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months to provide maternity cover.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on financial performance, accounting standards and financial controls within the area of responsibility, communicating sensitive information to finance and non-finance staff.
• Lead line management for direct reports, including recruitment, performance appraisal and staff development.
• Provide highly complex and sensitive information to the Executive Team and HEIW Board, including the Director of Finance.
• Develop and manage the finance plan for the Integrated Medium Term Plan and the Resource plan for the organisation.
