Job summary

Public Health Wales is seeking an enthusiastic finance professional to join the Finance Division. You will provide management accounting advice and support to managers at all levels, producing monthly reports, forecasts and costing analyses.

The role requires excellent analytical and communication skills, advanced Excel, and the ability to build strong relationships across finance and non-finance staff, with Welsh language ability desirable.

Qualifications

• Management accounting experience in NHS environment or similar large organisation is desirable.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to present financial data to a variety of individuals and groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality financial advice, support, and insight to managers and budget holders across Public Health Wales.
• Produce accurate monthly financial reports, forecasts, and annual or ad hoc costings.
• Support budget holders on all aspects of financial management, including development of business cases and financial plans.
• Build a strong understanding of the services supported and act as a trusted finance partner.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and development of financial processes.
• Deputise for the Senior Finance Partner when required, providing leadership across finance activities.
