Job summary

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) seeks an experienced finance professional to join the finance team as Head of Finance Business Partnering. The post supports the Deputy Director of Finance in drafting the Finance plan for HEIW and in developing the Resource plan for this national organisation.

The Head will lead financial management support to Finance Business Partners, contributing to national development projects with senior level engagement.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with CCAB membership and significant senior-level experience.
• Masters level qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience/skills.
• Experience in NHS finance structures, governance and funding mechanisms, with CPD within the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on financial performance, accounting standards and financial controls within the area of responsibility.
• Full line management responsibility for direct reports, including sickness, performance appraisal and staff development.
• Communicate highly complex financial information to the Executive Team and HEIW Board.
