Job summary

Energy Saving Trust is seeking a Finance Business Partner to provide trusted financial support and strategic input across the organisation. The role translates complex financial information into clear, actionable advice for budget holders and senior stakeholders.

The position is full-time (37.5 hours per week) on a fixed term until 31 July 2027, with a salary up to £58,000 per annum depending on experience. Based in the UK, the role supports planning, performance analysis and resource management.

Qualifications

• Proven finance business partnering experience in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong financial reporting and modelling skills.
• Experience preparing management information packs with clear commentary and tight deadlines.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to colleagues at different levels of seniority.
• A proactive and flexible approach with resilience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with a range of financial systems; recognised accountancy qualification would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Partner with heads of department, programme managers and other stakeholders to support planning.
• Analyse monthly financial performance and explain key findings, risks and opportunities to non-finance colleagues.
• Support forecasting, budgeting and trend analysis, ensuring financial information is prepared to accounting standards.
• Coach budget holders and project managers, building financial confidence and accountability.
• Provide financial analysis and advice for organisational projects, bid submissions and income-generation activity.
• Use reporting and financial modelling to add value to decisions and improve business performance.
