Job summary

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is seeking a proactive Finance Business Partner (NHS AfC Band 8a) to join the Finance Team in Plymouth. The post is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) and offers a salary in the range £57,528 - £64,750 per annum pro rata.

The role involves partnering with operational and clinical leaders and delivering financial analysis to support patient care and service development.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with CCAB/CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to liaise with clinical/operational leaders and challenge stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted financial advisor to operational and clinical leaders.
• Provide analysis of financial and operational performance to identify risks and opportunities.
• Support activity, income and demand modelling for capacity planning.
• Challenge budget holders to achieve objectives.
• Lead and support business cases and service transformation initiatives.
• Ensure financial implications are considered in plans.
• Communicate complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Promote financial awareness and continuous improvement.
