Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust invites a fully qualified accountant to join the Finance Team as a Finance Business Partner. You will provide accurate, timely financial information and professional advice to managers and clinicians.

The role supports complex specialties, engaged in financial reporting, budgeting and performance management within a 2bn+ NHS Foundation Trust. A hybrid model with on-site, office-based and remote work is offered.

Qualifications

• Fully Qualified CCAB member with CPD commitment.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
• Experience in a large, complex organisation with NHS familiarity is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports for the Trust.
• Ensure IFRS-compliant accounting and robust audit trails.
• Supervise junior accounting staff and delegate tasks.
• Present financial and performance information to senior managers and clinicians.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
