Sainsbury's Argos Technology is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager on a fixed-term basis to partner with senior leadership on technology investments and BAU spend. The role focuses on delivering high-quality management information, ensuring governance, and shaping financial strategies for a complex retail/tech business.

You will drive insights, build robust financial plans, and collaborate across functions to influence investment decisions and performance in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Extensive experience in commercial finance partnering within large FMCG/retail/technology environments.
• Advanced Excel with financial modelling and strong financial controls.
• Proven stakeholder management across multiple functions.
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic finance business partner to the senior Argos Technology leadership team, providing support, challenge, and insight on all aspects of financial decision-making related to technology investment and BAU spend.
• Manage end-to-end financial performance of the relevant area, ensuring full visibility of costs and value outcomes for Sainsbury’s & Argos.
• Develop financial models to support business cases and investment decisions.
• Oversee management information delivery, contribute to budgeting and forecasting, and ensure governance with accounting policies.
• Drive improved financial decision-making through rigorous analysis and strong controls.
