Job summary

Astrea Academy Trust is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the Central Finance Team on a fixed-term maternity cover. You will support a portfolio of schools with planning, forecasting and reporting, working closely with Principals and central teams to ensure financial sustainability and compliant practices.

Travel between academies is required, including Cambridge, to support budgeting and financial reviews. Strong Excel skills and professional accounting qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or actively studying towards a professional qualification.
• Experience delivering budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting for multiple schools.
• Strong ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead as finance partner for a group of academies.
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts and financial forecasts.
• Produce annual budgets and support long-term strategic planning.
• Complete payroll reconciliations and inter-school cost allocations.
• Ensure robust financial controls and timely reporting across schools.
