Job summary

Marks Sattin (UK) Ltd in Leeds is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the full finance function from our head office in the city centre. You will shape financial performance, drive governance and provide timely, insightful information for decision‑making.

In this hands‑on, leadership role you’ll manage month‑end, year‑end and statutory reporting, oversee compliance, and drive improvements across systems and processes, with a focus on supporting growth and expansion.

Qualifications

• Experience as Finance Manager or Senior Accountant.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting capability.
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Good understanding of UK accounting standards.
• Experience leading external audits.
• Track record of improving financial processes and controls.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience supervising or developing junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and billing activities.
• Produce monthly management accounts and financial performance reports.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Monitor working capital and ensure financial resilience.
• Lead the annual audit and act as the main contact for external auditors.
• Ensure adherence to UK accounting standards, tax rules and statutory obligations.
• Enhance reporting, systems and internal controls.
• Support operational teams with financial analysis and project performance tracking.
• Oversee pensions, insurance renewals and other compliance‑related activities.
• Manage and develop an Accounts Assistant.
