Job summary

Marks Sattin Ltd in Leeds city centre is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the full finance function and provide strategic financial direction to support the firm's expansion.

You will oversee month-end, year-end, statutory reporting, drive improvements in controls, and work closely with senior leaders to deliver accurate, timely financial information for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience leading finance operations and reporting.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting capabilities.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Experience leading external audits.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and billing activities.
• Produce monthly management accounts and financial performance reports.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Monitor working capital and ensure financial resilience.
• Provide commercial insight to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Lead the annual audit and act as main contact for external auditors.
• Ensure adherence to UK accounting standards, tax rules and statutory obligations.
• Enhance reporting, systems and internal controls.
• Support operational teams with financial analysis and project performance tracking.
• Oversee pensions, insurance renewals and other compliance-related activities.
• Manage and develop an Accounts Assistant.
