Job summary

Standard Bank Group is seeking a Finance Insights Lead to support production of regular reporting and analytics for the Financial Insights Leads and Reporting & Control teams. The role covers profit & loss, balance sheet, and commentary to aid strategic decisions across business units and entities.

The candidate should have postgraduate finance qualifications and 5–7 years in finance, with strong experience in banking or similar industries.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years experience in Finance & Value Management.
• Experience producing high quality regular reporting and analysis with commentary.
• Solid understanding of accounting requirements for transactions, balance sheet and liquidity.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the amendment of irregularities in audit or risk monitoring processes to uphold controls.
• Conduct analytical reviews of data against budgets, plans and forecasts; highlight variances.
• Develop commentary aligned with data reported to improve credibility of insights.
• Ensure reporting templates are used to deliver standardized Financial Insights & Analytics.
• Focus on cost reporting and allocations across BUs, clients, sectors, regions and entities.
