Job summary

Davies Talent Solutions represents a professional services client in London seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller to join its leadership team. The role covers financial control across two entities, FP&A and board reporting.

Reporting to the CFO, you will lead a two-person finance team, own month-end close, statutory accounts, audits, cash forecasting and drive improvements with senior stakeholders. Hybrid working available with a central London location.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience (3–6 years)
• Experience in financial reporting, control and audit
• Strong Excel and financial modelling capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Produce statutory accounts and manage the annual audit
• Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
• Deliver management information and board reporting with insights
• Oversee tax, VAT and wider compliance
• Develop forecasting, budgeting and scenario models
• Line manage two Finance Assistants
• Drive process improvement, automation and systems enhancement
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders on operational initiatives
• Support shareholder and executive reporting
