About the Role

Sutton and Kingston Council is seeking an exceptional candidate to fill the role of Strategic Finance Business Partner in its shared finance service. While this role is within the shared service, its primary focus is on Kingston Council. The role supports the council's Housing service, including both General Fund and Housing Revenue Account.

This key position supports the Head of Financial Business Partnering by providing strategic support to services and senior officers, focusing on revenue and capital. The successful candidate will:

• Be the senior finance professional for one or more directorates, developing expertise and ensuring accurate financial information and forecasts based on sound assumptions.
• Support services and colleagues in developing the medium-term financial plan and delivering services within budget.
• Provide direct support to council directors to help maintain the financial health of the council.
• Offer professional advice on the financial implications of proposals and contribute financial comments to committee reports.
