Job summary

De Lacy Executive invites an ambitious Farm Management Consultant to join its UK rural consultancy. You will work with landowners and farming businesses to improve profitability, performance, and long‑term strategies across diverse agricultural enterprises.

Working with experienced colleagues, you will deliver hands‑on farm management support and high‑level business advisory, covering budgeting, planning, environmental schemes, staff management and diversification projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Agriculture, Land Management or a related discipline.
• Experience in farm/estate management or agricultural consultancy.
• Strong understanding of commercial farming and rural businesses.
• Excellent analytical and financial skills.
• High attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and with others.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver farm management and business consultancy to a diverse farming client base.
• Develop business strategies, budgets, cashflows and management reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and resilience.
• Manage grant, subsidy and environmental scheme applications.
• Advise on agricultural policy, compliance and environmental regulations.
• Support diversification, development and growth projects.
• Provide technical guidance across crops, livestock, soil health and modern farming practices.
• Assist with farm staff recruitment, management and development.
