Job summary

De Lacy Executive is seeking a Farm Manager for a pioneering Welsh estate across 500+ acres, focusing on regenerative farming, biodiversity and landscape restoration. You will work directly with the Estate Owner to balance livestock management with conservation goals and lasting legacy.

You will lead native cattle, pig and equine enterprises, develop regenerative grazing, and oversee infrastructure, contractors and future diversification, while championing animal welfare.

Qualifications

• Strong livestock management experience, particularly with cattle.
• Experience with regenerative farming or conservation grazing systems.
• Practical estate management skills.
• Confidence working with contractors and managing projects.
• A genuine interest in biodiversity, habitat restoration and sustainable agriculture.
• Experience with horses or equestrian management would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day running and long-term development of the Estate, balancing excellent livestock husbandry with ambitious conservation goals.
• Manage native rare breed cattle, pig and equine enterprises.
• Develop regenerative grazing systems that support biodiversity and soil health.
• Maintain high standards of animal welfare, breeding and husbandry.
• Support habitat restoration alongside ecological specialists.
• Managing estate infrastructure, contractors, fencing, machinery and wider operations.
• Help develop future enterprises including pedigree livestock, orchards, horticulture, organic eggs and beekeeping.
