FarmWell in North Oxfordshire is seeking a Farm Management Consultant to support landowners, farm managers and contractors. This role covers day-to-day farm management to long-term business planning, with progression toward senior leadership and potential director responsibility.
You will advise on policy, budgets, grants, compliance, diversification and farm development, while building client relationships and expanding consultancy experience.
We're working with a well-established rural consultancy firm that works with a diverse range of farming businesses across the UK.
They're looking for a Farm Management Consultant to join the team in North Oxfordshire. This could suit someone with a strong farming background looking to move into consultancy, or an existing consultant who is ready for their next step.
You'll be working closely with landowners, farm managers and contractors, getting involved in everything from day-to-day farm management through to longer-term business planning.
The role will be varied, with involvement across:
You’ll need a good understanding of farming and rural businesses, ideally with a degree in agriculture, land management or a related subject.
Previous experience in consultancy is preferred but they'd be very open to a strong Farm Manager who is looking to take their experience in a slightly different direction and move into a more advisory role.
Equally, someone with estate management or consultancy experience would be considered. Ultimately, they’re looking for someone with a good understanding of farming, who is commercially minded and keen to develop.
There's genuine scope to progress with the business. For the right person, this could develop into a senior leadership role and, longer term, potentially a Director position.
You’ll have the chance to build your consultancy experience, develop client relationships and play a bigger part in the future of the business as you progress.
A competitive package will be offered depending on experience, along with opportunities for further training and development.
