Job summary

M&GPrudential is seeking an ESG Reporting Accountant to join the Group Sustainability team for a 6 month period. You will lead the end-to-end production of ESG disclosures under TCFD, SDR and SFDR, coordinating with internal stakeholders and the external auditor.

Responsibilities include designing disclosures for external reporting, managing governance processes, and supporting the sustainability reporting change agenda while staying abreast of regulatory developments in ESG disclosure standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with experience or knowledge of sustainability reporting.
• Understanding of TCFD, SDR and SFDR.
• Experience producing disclosures in financial services or auditing such disclosures.
• Understanding of internal controls.
• Experience working with external auditors.
• Strong analytical skills for financial and sustainability metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ESG disclosures for external reporting documents (TCFD/SDR/SFDR).
• Produce entity reports including planning, metrics analysis, content drafting and verification.
• Coordinate responses to auditor queries regarding ESG disclosures.
• Maintain and enhance the team\'s Key Controls and risk management returns.
• Stay abreast of developments in ESG disclosure space and regulatory requirements.
• Write governance papers for submission to boards and committees.
• Support the project team in implementing new sustainability regulations.
