Job summary

At M&G, we are seeking an ESG Reporting Accountant to join the Group Sustainability team for a 6 month period. You will lead end-to-end ESG disclosures, coordinate with external auditors, and support governance processes and the delivery of sustainability reporting in annual disclosures.

The role requires knowledge of TCFD, SDR and SFDR, with a focus on accuracy, controls and collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with some experience or knowledge of sustainability reporting.
• Some understanding of key reporting regulations including TCFD, SDR and SFDR.
• Experience in production and delivery of disclosures in a financial services organisation, or experience of auditing such disclosures.
• Good understanding of controls.

Responsibilities

• Design ESG disclosures for external reporting documents including the Group's Annual Report and Accounts.
• End to end production of entity reports including planning, change management, metrics analysis, content drafting and verification.
• Coordinate responses to auditor queries in relation to ESG disclosures.
• Maintain and enhance the team's key controls and risk management returns.
• Keep abreast of developments in ESG disclosure space to ensure compliance with regulations.
