Job summary

Sword Group is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead architecture strategy while delivering hands-on engagement across major programmes. You will collaborate with project teams, senior stakeholders, Solution Architects and external suppliers to ensure designs align with enterprise strategy and guardrails.

The role requires extensive EA experience, a strong background in Solution Architecture and the ability to move between strategic planning and detailed delivery work.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in senior Enterprise Architecture positions.
• Previous experience in Solution Architecture roles.
• Experience spanning strategic architecture and project-level delivery.
• Experience developing architecture strategies, roadmaps, capability models and target-state architectures.
• Strong architecture governance and solution assurance.
• Broad understanding across applications, integration, cloud, infrastructure, data, security and operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise architecture strategies, roadmaps and capability models.
• Review architectural collateral and address gaps.
• Develop current-state and target-state architectures across domains.
• Translate priorities into architecture direction for programmes.
• Ensure architecture collateral is accessible to delivery teams.
• Act as senior architectural contact for designated domains or investments.
• Provide architectural input for project decisions and multi-system requirements.
• Review and assure designs produced by project teams and vendors.
• Identify architecture risks, dependencies and misalignment.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders and delivery teams.
