Job summary

Government Recruitment Service in Leeds is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to lead the development and governance of enterprise architecture, aligning technology with strategy and digital transformation. You will shape long-term capability, resilience and value for money across platforms and services.

The role reports to the Head of Data & Technology, offering flexible working arrangements and a clear path to senior leadership within a government services setting.

Qualifications

• Own and maintain the enterprise-wide architecture design framework across business, application, data and technology domains.
• Maintain architecture standards and design principles, ensuring solutions comply with TOGAF and the UK Technology Code of Practice.
• Operate architecture governance processes, including design review boards and enterprise assurance.
• Translate organisational strategy into technology and architecture roadmaps.
• Oversee cloud and platform architecture.
• Define architecture lifecycle processes from concept through design, implementation and retirement, and provide independent design assurance for complex programmes and digital services.
• Provide architectural leadership across multidisciplinary teams and support senior leaders with technology strategy discussions and decision-making.
