Job summary

Bowdon Associates Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an Account Manager to take ownership of customer enquiries, quotations, quote follow-up and account development within our engineering-driven environment.

You will be the commercial link between clients, production and the wider business, reviewing drawings, specifications and delivery requirements, and developing repeat business through clear communication.

Qualifications

• Background in engineering, manufacturing, estimating, technical sales support or account management.
• Comfortable with engineering detail and learning pricing, planning and delivery.
• Able to ask sensible technical and commercial questions.
• Ability to nurture customer relationships and identify repeat business.

Responsibilities

• Managing customer enquiries from first contact through to quote, order or close.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, quantities, materials, tolerances and delivery requirements.
• Preparing clear and accurate quotations within agreed authority levels.
• Following up quotations properly and keeping opportunities moving.
• Developing existing customer relationships.
• Identifying repeat work and future project opportunities.
• Working closely with Production & Engineering before delivery commitments are made.
• Supporting smooth handover from quote to order.
• Keeping customer and quotation records accurate.
