Job summary

Sellick Partnership is working with a public sector client in Stoke to recruit an Employee Relations Manager on a 3-month contract with potential extension. The role is hybrid, requiring at least two days on site, working alongside senior leaders to shape ER strategies.

You will lead a HR Business Partnering team, handle high‑risk ER cases, tribunals, and the rollout of the Mutually Agreed Resignation Scheme, providing strategic and operational guidance across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading employee relations in a complex organisation.
• Strong track record handling employment tribunals and high‑risk ER cases.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and providing credible strategic advice.

Responsibilities

• Management and supporting a team of HR Business Partnering
• Acting as an escalation point for high-risk and complex ER queries and employment tribunals
• Overseeing the implementation of a new Mutually Agreed Resignation Scheme (MARS)
• Leading on complex employee relations matters, providing strategic and operational advice across the organisation
• Overseeing employment tribunal cases and ensuring robust risk management and legal compliance
• Providing recommendations on service improvements and best practice across HR functions
• Contributing to the organisation's workforce transformation programme.
